AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of Three Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) from the Operations, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for construction services to complete CSO -
Parkridge Addition Combined Sewer Separation and Relief (10104); and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into an amendment of the construction contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc.
for the aforesaid construction services.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 12827, adopted March 12, 2009, appropriated the
initial funding for and authorized the contract, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operations, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Deer Creek for construction services to complete CSO - Parkridge Addition Combined Sewer
Separation and Relief (10104).
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into an amendment of
the construction contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for construction services to complete
CSO - Parkridge Addition Combined Sewer Separation and Relief (10104); said contract
amendment to be comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved by the Office of
the General Counsel.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 10, 2010.
