AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eight Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars
($870,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of combined sewers in CSO - Interceptor & Outfall Modifications Phase III
(10190), in St. Louis City, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Seven Hundred Ninety Nine
Thousand Seven Hundred-Ten and 00/100 Dollars ($799,710.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Seventy Thousand Two Hundred
Ninety Dollars ($70,290.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eight Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars
($870,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of combined sewers in CSO - Interceptor & Outfall Modifications
Phase III (10190), in St. Louis City, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of combined
sewers in CSO - Interceptor & Outfall Modifications Phase III (10190), in St. Louis City,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of October 2010.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 9, 2010.
