AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Dollars
($125,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Maline
Creek to be used for project costs for channel stabilization in Ferguson Branch Bank
Stabilization (10278), in the City of Ferguson, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Wehmeyer Farms, Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said channel stabilization is One Hundred Thirteen
Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty-Two Dollars ($113,782.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Eleven Thousand Two Hundred-Eighteen Dollars
($11,218.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Dollars
($125,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Maline Creek to be used for project costs for channel stabilization in
Ferguson Branch Bank Stabilization (10278), in the City of Ferguson, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Wehmeyer Farms, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for channel stabilization in Ferguson
Branch Bank Stabilization (10278), in the City of Ferguson, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 16th day of November, 2010.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 13, 2011.
