AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars
($690,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction at
Glendale Section D Sanitary Relief (SKME-624) (10162), in the City of Glendale, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the
construction of the aforesaid sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the sanitary sewer construction is Six Hundred Thirty
Nine Thousand Ninety Dollars ($639,090.00) and the allowance for change orders and other
project costs is Fifty Thousand Nine Hundred Ten Dollars ($50,910.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($690,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer
construction at Glendale Section D Sanitary Relief (SKME-624) (10162), in the City of
Glendale, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the sanitary sewer construction
at Glendale Section D Sanitary Relief (SKME-624) (10162), in the City of Glendale, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 3rd day of December 2010.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
