HomeMy Public PortalAbout13197ORDINANCE NO. 13197 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,600,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Tower Grove - Manchester Combined Sewer System Phase II (Utah & Humphrey Storm Relief Sewers) (10778), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Two Million Three Hundred Sixty Four Thousand Seven Hundred Forty Dollars ($2,364,740.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Thirty Five Thousand Two Hundred Sixty Dollars ($235,260.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Tower Grove - Manchester Combined Sewer System Phase II (Utah & Humphrey Storm Relief Sewers) (10778), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Tower Grove - Manchester Combined Sewer System Phase II (Utah & Humphrey Storm Relief Sewers) (10778), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 13th day of December 2010. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 10, 2011
