AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Sixty Three Thousand Dollars ($63,000.00)
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek to be used
for project costs for creek bank stabilization in Iris Lane Bank Stabilization (10668), in the City
of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Dizdar Bros.
Sewer & Const. for the aforesaid creek bank stabilization.
WHEREAS, the bid for said creek bank stabilization is Fifty Six Thousand Nine
Hundred Twenty-Six Dollars ($56,926.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and
other project expenses is Six Thousand Seventy-Four Dollars ($6,074.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Sixty Three Thousand Dollars ($63,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Sugar
Creek to be used for project costs for creek bank stabilization in Iris Lane Bank Stabilization
(10668), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Dizdar Bros. Sewer & Const. as the lowest responsible bidder for creek bank stabilization in Iris
Lane Bank Stabilization (10668), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 14th day of December 2010.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
