AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,600,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Fountain/Anthony Lateral Sanitary Relief (SKME-236) (10118)
in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Four Million Two Hundred
Sixty Three Thousand Four Hundred Fourteen and 05/100 Dollars ($4,263,414.05), and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred Thirty Six
Thousand Five Hundred Eighty Five and 95/100 Dollars ($336,585.95), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Fountain/Anthony Lateral Sanitary Relief
(SKME-236) (10118) in the City of Florissant, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm
sewers in Fountain/Anthony Lateral Sanitary Relief (SKME-236) (10118) in the City of
Florissant Missouri; pursuant to bids received and opened on the 26th day of January 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
