HomeMy Public PortalAbout13212ORDINANCE NO. 13212 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,600,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Fountain/Anthony Lateral Sanitary Relief (SKME-236) (10118) in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Four Million Two Hundred Sixty Three Thousand Four Hundred Fourteen and 05/100 Dollars ($4,263,414.05), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred Thirty Six Thousand Five Hundred Eighty Five and 95/100 Dollars ($336,585.95), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Fountain/Anthony Lateral Sanitary Relief (SKME-236) (10118) in the City of Florissant, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Fountain/Anthony Lateral Sanitary Relief (SKME-236) (10118) in the City of Florissant Missouri; pursuant to bids received and opened on the 26th day of January 2011. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 10, 2011
