AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars
($420,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Maline
Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Bristow and Ann Storm
Sewer (10206) in the City of Charlack, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with XL Contracting, Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Three Hundred Seventy
Four Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars ($374,868.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Forty Five Thousand One Hundred
Thirty-Two Dollars ($45,132.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($420,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Maline Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Bristow and
Ann Storm Sewer (10206) in the City of Charlack, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in
Bristow and Ann Storm Sewer (10206) in the City of Charlack, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 24th day of January 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
