AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1,050,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the Bopp
Sanitary Relief I/I Reduction (SKME-611) (10298) in the City of Des Peres, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. for the
rehabilitation of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is Nine Hundred
Eighty One Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-One and 10/100 Dollars ($981,521.10), and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Sixty Eight Thousand
Four Hundred Seventy-Eight and 90/100 Dollars ($68,478.90), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1,050,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
Bopp Sanitary Relief I/I Reduction (SKME-611) (10298) in the City of Des Peres, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the Bopp Sanitary Relief
I/I Reduction (SKME-611) (10298) in the City of Des Peres, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 20th day of January 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
