HomeMy Public PortalAbout13220ORDINANCE NO. 13220 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Thirty Seven Million Dollars ($37,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Missouri River WWTP Secondary Treatment Expansion and Disinfection Facilities (10710), in The City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Goodwin Bros. Const. Co. for the construction of the aforesaid wastewater treatment plant. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said wastewater treatment plant is Eighty Eight Million Eight Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($88,890,000.00), and the appropriations in the succeeding two (2) fiscal years will complete the total funding of said project, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Thirty Seven Million Dollars ($37,000,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Missouri River WWTP Secondary Treatment Expansion and Disinfection Facilities (10710), in The City of Maryland Heights, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Goodwin Bros. Const. Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of the Missouri River WWTP Secondary Treatment Expansion and Disinfection Facilities (10710) in The City of Maryland Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 22nd day of December, 2010. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 10, 2011
