AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Sixty Six Thousand Dollars ($66,000.00) from
the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of Grand Glaize
WWTP Improvements - Medium Voltage Switchgear (Installation) (10423); in The City of
Valley Park, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Benson Electric Co. for
the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Thirty One Thousand Three
Hundred Dollars ($31,300.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other
project costs is Thirty Four Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($34,700.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Sixty Six Thousand Dollars ($66,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of Grand Glaize WWTP Improvements - Medium Voltage Switchgear (Installation)
(10423), in The City of Valley Park, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Benson Electric Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of Grand Glaize
WWTP Improvements - Medium Voltage Switchgear (Installation) (10423), in The City of
Valley Park, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of February , 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
