HomeMy Public PortalAbout13223ORDINANCE NO. 13223 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,800,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2011) (10660) in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with SAK Construction, LLC for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is Three Million Five Hundred Forty Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty-Nine and 11/100 Dollars ($3,547,929.11), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project costs is Two Hundred Fifty Two Thousand Seventy and 89/100 Dollars ($252,070.89), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,800,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2011) (10660) in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2009) Phase II (2008128B) in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 17th day of February, 2011. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 20, 2011
