HomeMy Public PortalAbout13222ORDINANCE NO. 13222 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($430,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Seminary Branch of River Des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Florence #503 Storm Sewer Improvements (10213), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with K.J. Unnerstall Construction Co. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Three Hundred Eighty Eight Thousand One Hundred Fifty-Five Dollars ($388,155.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Forty One Thousand Eight Hundred Forty Five Dollars ($41,845.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($430,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Seminary Branch of River Des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Florence #503 Storm Sewer Improvements (10213), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with K.J. Unnerstall Construction Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Florence #503 Storm Sewer Improvements (10213), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 9th day of February, 2011. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 20, 2011
