HomeMy Public PortalAbout13224ORDINANCE NO. 13224 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($140,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the Stonington Sanitary Relief (SKME-652) (I/I Reduction) (10185), in the City of Frontenac, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company for the aforesaid rehabilitation. WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is One Hundred Twenty Six Thousand Three Hundred Sixty and 29/100 Dollars ($126,360.29), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Thirteen Thousand Six Hundred Thirty Nine and 71/100 Dollars ($13,639.71), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($140,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the Stonington Sanitary Relief (SKME-652) (I/I Reduction) (10185), in the City of Frontenac, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the Stonington Sanitary Relief (SKME-652) (I/I Reduction) (10185), in the City of Frontenac, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 31st day of January, 2011. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 20, 2011
