HomeMy Public PortalAbout13230ORDINANCE NO. 13230 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,800,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Trunk Sewer Relief Phase IIA (10427) in the Cities of Chesterfield and Town & Country, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Three Million Four Hundred Seven Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($3,407,100.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred Ninety Two Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($392,900.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,800,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Trunk Sewer Relief Phase IIA (10427) in the Cities of Chesterfield and Town & Country, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Trunk Sewer Relief Phase IIA (10427) in the Cities of Chesterfield and Town & Country Missouri; pursuant to bids received and opened on the 23rd day of February, 2011. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 20, 2011
