AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars
($6,100,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer rehabilitation
at Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2011B) (11068), in the City of St. Louis and north
and western portions of St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Five Million Five
Hundred Nine Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars ($5,509,377.00) and the
allowance for change orders and other project costs is Five Hundred Ninety Thousand Six
Hundred Twenty-Three Dollars ($590,623.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars
($6,100,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
sanitary sewer rehabilitation at Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2011B) (11068), in the
City of St. Louis and north and western portions of St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the sanitary sewer
rehabilitation at Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2011B) (11068), in the City of
St. Louis and north and western portions of St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 7th day of March, 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 12, 2011.
