AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Sixty Three Thousand Dollars ($63,000.00)
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used
for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Irene & Bopp Storm Sewer (10667), in
the City of Des Peres, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with TAP
Utilities, LLC for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Fifty Six Thousand Nine
Hundred Twenty Three and 25/100 Dollars ($56,923.25) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Six Thousand Seventy-Six and 75/100 Dollars
($6,076.75), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Sixty Three Thousand Dollars ($63,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Irene & Bopp Storm
Sewer (10667), in the City of Des Peres, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
TAP Utilities, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Irene
& Bopp Storm Sewer (10667), in the City of Des Peres, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 14th day of March, 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
