AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Forty Two Thousand Dollars
($142,000.00) from the Operations, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Watkins Creek to be used for project costs for creek stabilization of Lanett Ct. #11390 Storm
Improvement (10349), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid project.
WHEREAS, the bid for construction of said creek stabilization is One Hundred
Twenty Nine Thousand Seventy-Two and 50/100 Dollars ($129,072.50), and the allowance for
construction change orders is Twelve Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy Two and 50/100 Dollars
($12,972.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Forty Two Thousand Dollars
($142,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operations, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Watkins Creek to be used for project costs for creek stabilization of Lanett
Ct. #11390 Storm Improvement (10349), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for creek stabilization of
Lanett Ct. #11390 Storm Improvement (10349), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 4th day of March, 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
