HomeMy Public PortalAbout13245ORDINANCE NO. 13245 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($510,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Woodleaf Court Storm Sewer Improvements (10151), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Four Hundred Seventy Six Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-Eight Dollars ($476,398.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Thirty Three Thousand Six Hundred Two Dollars ($33,602.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($510,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Woodleaf Court Storm Sewer Improvements (10151), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Woodleaf Court Storm Sewer Improvements (10151), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 25th day of March, 2011. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 12, 2011
