HomeMy Public PortalAbout13246ORDINANCE NO. 13246 AN ORDINANCE, amending Ordinance No. 13103, as adopted June 10, 2010, and enacting a new Section One and a new Section Two in lieu thereof in order to correct a scriveners error for the District's fiscal periods through June 30, 2010 and extend the contract with Schmersahl Trealor & Co. for Independent Audit Services to include all periods through June 30, 2011. WHEREAS, Section One of Ordinance No. 13103, as adopted June 10, 2010, did not cover the period ending June 30, 2010, and said Section shall be amended to allow for an independent audit for all fiscal periods through June 30, 2011, and WHEREAS, Section Two of Ordinance No. 13103, as adopted June 10, 2010 authorized a fee of One Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($130,000.00), and said Section shall be amended to authorize a fee of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00). WHEREAS, the District is required by Charter to audit the financial records for the fiscal years ended June 30, 2010 and June 30, 2011, and WHEREAS, the District seeks an interim review of its financial statements as of March 31, 2011, in order to facilitate a sale of bonds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer, on behalf of the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Schmersahl Treloar & Co., for an independent audit of all accounts and funds of the District and all Subdistrict for all fiscal periods through June 20, 2011. Section Two. The contract authorized in Section One of this Ordinance shall provide for a fee of not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) and shall be comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 12, 2011.
