AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars
($740,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for sewer
separation in the CSO - Macklind Outfall L-062 Separation (10159), in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with MB Mitchell, LLC for the
aforesaid sewer separation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Six Hundred Eighty Eight Thousand
Seven Hundred Forty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($688,747.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Fifty One Thousand Two Hundred
Fifty-Three Dollars ($51,253.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($740,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for sewer
separation in the CSO - Macklind Outfall L-062 Separation (10159), in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
MB Mitchell, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for, sewer separation in the CSO - Macklind
Outfall L-062 Separation (10159), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 26th day of April 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 9, 2011.
