HomeMy Public PortalAbout13252ORDINANCE NO. 13252 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,300,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary relief sewers in Valley Sanitary Relief (SKME-014) Phase II (10147) in the Cities of Ballwin, Chesterfield, and Clarkson Valley, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Kolb Grading, Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Two Million Nine Hundred Three Thousand Two Hundred Nineteen and 83/100 Dollars ($2,903,219.83), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred Ninety Six Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty and 17/100 Dollars ($396,780.17), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,300,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary relief sewers in Valley Sanitary Relief (SKME-014) Phase II (10147) in the Cities of Ballwin, Chesterfield, and Clarkson Valley, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Kolb Grading, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary relief sewers in Valley Sanitary Relief (SKME-014) Phase II (10147) in the Cities of Ballwin, Chesterfield, and Clarkson Valley Missouri; pursuant to bids received and opened on the 11th day of April 2011. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 9, 2011.
