HomeMy Public PortalAbout13253ORDINANCE NO. 13253 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for sanitary and storm sewer construction in CSO - McKnight Rd SE of Hwy 40 CSO Interceptor (I-292)/Outfall (10141), in the Cities of Brentwood, Ladue and Richmond Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Two Million Two Hundred Twenty Seven Thousand Four Hundred Sixty-two Dollars ($2,227,462.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Seventy Two Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-Eight Dollars ($172,538.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for sanitary and storm sewer construction in CSO - McKnight Rd SE of Hwy 40 CSO Interceptor (I-292)/Outfall (10141), in the Cities of Brentwood, Ladue and Richmond Heights, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary and storm sewer construction in CSO - McKnight Rd SE of Hwy 40 CSO Interceptor (I-292)/Outfall (10141), in the Cities of Brentwood, Ladue and Richmond Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 28th day of April 2011. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 9, 2011.
