AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars
($580,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black
Creek to be used for creekbank stabilization in Normton Drive Bank Stabilization (10200), in the
City of Ladue, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Wehmeyer
Farms, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid creekbank stabilization.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said creekbank stabilization is Four
Hundred Forty Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-Two Dollars ($447,942.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Thirty Two
Thousand Fifty-Eight Dollars ($132,058.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($580,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Black Creek to be used for creekbank stabilization in Normton Drive Bank Stabilization (10200),
in the City of Ladue, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Wehmeyer Farms, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for creekbank stabilization in Normton
Drive Bank Stabilization (10200), in the City of Ladue, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 26th day of April 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 9, 2011.
