HomeMy Public PortalAbout13280ORDINANCE NO. 13280 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($290,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for pump station improvements at Elton Pump Station (P-307) Elimination (10591) in Unincorporated St. Louis County and the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Two Hundred Sixty Two Thousand Two Hundred Seventy-Two Dollars ($262,272.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty- Eight Dollars ($27,728.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($290,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for pump station improvements at Elton Pump Station (P-307) Elimination (10591) in Unincorporated St. Louis County and the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for pump station improvements at Elton Pump Station (P-307) Elimination (10591) in Unincorporated St. Louis County and the City of St. Louis Missouri; pursuant to bids received and opened on the 21st day of June 2011. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 11, 2011.
