AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Ten Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($10,600,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section B, C & D Wet Weather
Storage Facility Tank A (10434) in the City of St. Ann, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Goodwin Brothers Construction Co., Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Nine Million Two Hundred
Eighty Five Thousand Dollars ($9,285,000.00), and the allowance for construction change orders
and other project expenses is One Million Three Hundred Fifteen Thousand Dollars
($1,315,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Ten Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($10,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section B, C
& Wet Weather Storage Facility Tank A (10434) in the City of St. Ann, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Goodwin Brothers Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of
sanitary sewers in Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section B, C & D Wet Weather Storage Facility
Tank A (10434) in the City of St. Ann Missouri; pursuant to bids received and opened on the
20th day of May, 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 14, 2011.
