AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars
($130,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Springdale Lateral Sanitary Relief (SKME-305) (10759), in
the Village of Bel Ridge, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
XL Contracting, Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Ninety Eight
Thousand Three Hundred Thirteen Dollars ($98,313.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Thirty One Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-Seven
Dollars ($31,687.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($130,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Springdale Lateral Sanitary Relief (SKME-305) (10759), in
the Village of Bel Ridge, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Springdale Lateral Sanitary Relief (SKME-305) (10759), in the Village of Bel Ridge, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of July, 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 8, 2011.
