AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Seventy Five Thousand Dollars
($275,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois
Creek to be used for project costs for sanitary sewer construction and channel stabilization in
Fillmore - Elliot Bank Stabilization (GCKC-130) (10002), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Landesign, LLC for the aforesaid
construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction and channel stabilization
is Two Hundred Thirty Two Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty Two Dollars ($232,982.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Forty Two Thousand
Eighteen Dollars ($42,018.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Seventy Five Thousand Dollars
($275,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek to be used for project costs for sanitary sewer construction
and channel stabilization in Fillmore - Elliot Bank Stabilization (GCKC-130) (10002), in the
City of Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Landesign, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer construction and channel
stabilization in Fillmore - Elliot Bank Stabilization (GCKC-130) (10002), in the City of
Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 25th day of August, 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 21, 2011.
