AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($850,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Maline
Creek to be used for project costs for channel stabilization and sewer construction in Hardwick
Court Channel Improvements and Sanitary Sewer Protection (MCMB-510) (10305), in
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with XL Contracting, Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said channel stabilization and sewer construction is Seven
Hundred Thirty Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Seven Dollars ($737,707.00) and the allowance
for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Twelve Thousand
Two Hundred Ninety-Three Dollars ($112,293.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($850,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Maline Creek to be used for project costs for channel stabilization and sewer construction in
Hardwick Court Channel Improvements and Sanitary Sewer Protection (MCMB-510) (10305),
in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for channel stabilization and sewer
construction in Hardwick Court Channel Improvements and Sanitary Sewer Protection (MCMB-
510) (10305), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 14th day of September, 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 21, 2011.
