AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for pump station improvements
in Infrastructure Repair #087P Caulks Creek "A" (P-750) Phase V (10655); in the City of
Chesterfield, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Plocher Construction
Company, Inc., for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Two Million One Hundred
Eighty Nine Thousand Dollars ($2,189,000.00), and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Eleven Thousand Dollars ($211,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for pump
station improvements in Infrastructure Repair #087P Caulks Creek "A" (P-750) Phase V
(10655); in the City of Chesterfield Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Plocher Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of
storm sewers in Infrastructure Repair #087P Caulks Creek "A" (P-750) Phase V (10655); in the
City of Chesterfield Missouri; pursuant to bids received and opened on the 21st day of
September, 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 21, 2011.
