AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,900,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Baumgartner & Black Forest Sanitary Replacement Phase I
(10066), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is One Million Six
Hundred Sixty Nine Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Dollars ($1,669, 650.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Three
Hundred Fifty Dollars ($230,350.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,900,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Baumgartner & Black Forest Sanitary
Replacement Phase I (10066), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Baumgartner & Black Forest Sanitary Replacement Phase I (10066), in
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 30th
day of August, 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 21, 2011.
