AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars
($420,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for storm sewer
rehabilitation in Nectar I/I Reduction (BP-290) (11111), in the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with SAK Construction, LLC for
the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Three Hundred
Seventy Three Thousand One Hundred Twenty-Six Dollars ($373,126.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Forty Six Thousand Eight Hundred
Seventy-Four Dollars ($46,874.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($420,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for storm
sewer rehabilitation in Nectar I/I Reduction (BP-290) (11111), in the City of Bellefontaine
Neighbors, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer rehabilitation in Nectar
I/I Reduction (BP-290) (11111), in the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 18th day of October 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 8, 2011.
