AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars
($310,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the combined
sewer construction - CSO-Greenbriar Combined Sewer Separation (10101), in the City of Ladue,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching &
Excavating Company for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Two Hundred Sixteen
Thousand Two Hundred Three Dollars ($216,203.00) and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Nine Three Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-Seven Dollars
($93,797.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($310,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
combined sewer construction - CSO-Greenbriar Combined Sewer Separation (10101), in the City
of Ladue, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Southern Ditching & Excavating Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the combined
sewer construction - CSO-Greenbriar Combined Sewer Separation (10101), in the City of Ladue,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 19th day of October 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 21, 2011.
