AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Seventy One Thousand Dollars
($171,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of North
Kinloch to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Mable Ave. and
Carson Road Storm Sewer (10698), in the City of Kinloch, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Const. Co., Inc. for the construction of the
aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Sixty Two
Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-Eight Dollars ($62,328.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Eight Thousand Six
Hundred Seventy-Two Thousand Dollars ($108,672.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Seventy One Thousand Dollars
($171,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of North Kinloch to be used for project costs for the construction of storm
sewers in Mable Ave. and Carson Road Storm Sewer (10698), in the City of Kinloch, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
J.H. Berra Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers
in Mable Ave. and Carson Road Storm Sewer (10698), in the City of Kinloch, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 17th day of November 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 12, 2012.
