HomeMy Public PortalAbout13351ORDINANCE NO. 13351 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Dollars ($125,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in White Birch Way - Queen Ann Drive Storm Sewer (10797), in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Const. Co., Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Fifty Seven Thousand Two Hundred Twenty-One Dollars ($57,221.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Sixty Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-Nine Dollars ($67,779.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Dollars ($125,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in White Birch Way - Queen Ann Drive Storm Sewer (10797), in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in White Birch Way - Queen Ann Drive Storm Sewer (10797), in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 2nd day of November 2011. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 12, 2012.
