AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000.00)
from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the Lemay WWTP
Maintenance Building Structural Repair (10682), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Tarlton Corporation for the aforesaid
sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Three Hundred
Seventy Two Thousand Dollars ($372,000.00) and the allowance for construction change orders
and other project expenses is Twenty Eight Thousand Dollars ($28,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
Lemay WWTP Maintenance Building Structural Repair (10682), in Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Tarlton Corporation as the lowest responsible bidder for the Lemay WWTP Maintenance
Building Structural Repair (10682), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 16th day of November 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 12, 2012.
