AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seventeen Million Dollars ($17,000,000.00)
from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for wastewater treatment plant construction at
Bissell WWTP Disinfection Facilities (10325), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Goodwin Bros. Const. Co. for the aforesaid
sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Fifteen Million Nine
Hundred Eighty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($15,989,000.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is One Million Eleven Thousand Dollars
($1,011,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seventeen Million Dollars ($17,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for wastewater treatment plant
construction at Bissell WWTP Disinfection Facilities (10325), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Goodwin Bros. Const. Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for wastewater treatment plant
construction at Bissell WWTP Disinfection Facilities (10325), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 21st day of December 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 9, 2012.
