HomeMy Public PortalAbout13361ORDINANCE NO. 13361 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars ($7,900,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2012 Contract A) (10665) in the County of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with SAK Construction, LLC for the aforesaid rehabilitation. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid rehabilitation is Seven Million Five Hundred Seventy Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty and 75/100 Dollars ($7,577,720.75), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred Twenty Two Thousand Two Hundred Seventy-Nine and 25/100 Dollars ($322,279.25), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Seven Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars ($7,900,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2012 Contract A) (10665) in the County of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2012 Contract A) (10665) in the County of St. Louis Missouri; pursuant to bids received and opened on the 22nd day of December 2011. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 9, 2012.
