AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) from the
University City OMCI Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in
Magnet Drive Storm Sewer (10699), in the City of Olivette, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Heartland Construction & Excavating for the aforesaid storm
sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Thirty One Thousand
Nine Hundred Forty and 50/100 Dollars ($31,940.00) and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Eight Thousand Fifty Nine and 50/100 Dollars ($18,059.50),
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the University City OMCI Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Magnet Drive Storm Sewer (10699), in the City of Olivette,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Heartland Construction & Excavating as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of
storm sewers in Magnet Drive Storm Sewer (10699), in the City of Olivette, Missouri, pursuant
to bids received and opened on the 19th day of November 2011.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 9, 2012.
