HomeMy Public PortalAbout13374ORDINANCE NO. 13374 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($260,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Clayridge - Brandy Sanitary Relief (11099), in the County of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Heartland Construction & Excavating for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is One Hundred Eighty- One Thousand Dollars ($181,000.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seventy-Nine Thousand Dollars ($79,000.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($260,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Clayridge - Brandy Sanitary Relief (11099), in the County of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Heartland Construction & Excavating as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Clayridge - Brandy Sanitary Relief (11099), in the County of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 4th day of January 2012. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 8, 2012.
