AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars
($6,200,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for wastewater
treatment plant construction - Coldwater Treatment Plant Disinfection Facilities (10558), in
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Kozeny-Wagner, Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Five Million Seven Hundred Eight-
Five Thousand Dollars ($5,785,000.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and
other project expenses is Four Hundred Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($415,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars
($6,200,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for wastewater treatment plant construction - Coldwater Treatment Plant
Disinfection Facilities (10558), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Kozeny-Wagner, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for wastewater treatment plant
construction - Coldwater Treatment Plant Disinfection Facilities (10558), in Unincorporated St.
Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 11th day of January 2012.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 12, 2012.
