HomeMy Public PortalAbout13387ORDINANCE NO. 13387 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($180,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Clayton Central to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Meramec and Forest Park Parkway Sanitary Sewer Improvements (10704), in the City of Clayton, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($110,000.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($180,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Clayton Central to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Meramec and Forest Park Parkway Sanitary Sewer Improvements (10704), in the City of Clayton, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Meramec and Forest Park Parkway Sanitary Sewer Improvements (10704), in the City of Clayton, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 23rd day of February, 2012. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 10, 2012.
