AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,300,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
rehabilitation of sewers in Hermitage I/I Reduction (SKME-615) (10645), in the City of
Frontenac, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with SAK Construction,
LLC for the aforesaid sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sewer rehabilitation is One Million One Hundred
Seventy One Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-Three and 75/100 Dollars ($1,171,843.75) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Twenty
Eight Thousand One Hundred Fifty-Six and 25/100 Dollars (4128,156.25), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,300,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the rehabilitation of sewers in Hermitage I/I Reduction (SKME-615) (10645), in
the City of Frontenac, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sewers in
Hermitage I/I Reduction (SKME-615) (10645), in the City of Frontenac, Missouri, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 6th day of April 2012.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 14, 2012.
