HomeMy Public PortalAbout13419ORDINANCE NO. 13419 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($240,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Windom #8721 Sewer Rehabilitation (10229), in the Cities of Charlack and St. John, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is One Hundred Thirty Two Thousand One Hundred Six and 05/100 Dollars ($132,106.05) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Seven Thousand Eight Hundred Ninety-Three and 95/100 Dollars ($107,893.95), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($240,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Windom #8721 Sewer Rehabilitation (10229), in the Cities of Charlack and St. John, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Windom #8721 Sewer Rehabilitation (10229), in the Cities of Charlack and St. John, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 8th day of May, 2012. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 2012.
