AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Trunk Sewer Relief Phase III
(SKME-021) (10428), in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is One Million Three
Hundred Ninety Eight Thousand Five Hundred Ninety Dollars ($1,398,590.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred One
Thousand Four Hundred Ten Dollars ($101,410.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Trunk Sewer
Relief Phase III (SKME-021) (10428), in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Trunk Sewer Relief Phase III (SKME-021) (10428), in the
City of Chesterfield, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 15th day of
May, 2012.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 2012.
