AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Ninety Seven Thousand Dollars ($97,000.00)
from the University City OMCI Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm
sewers in Romaine Ave. #9449 Storm Sewer (10747), in the City of Overland, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. for the aforesaid
storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Seventy Four Thousand
One Hundred Forty-Four and 35/100 Dollars ($74,144.35) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Twenty Two Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-Five
and 65/100 Dollars ($22,855.65), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Ninety Seven Thousand Dollars ($97,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the University City OMCI Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Romaine Ave. #9449 Storm Sewer (10747), in the City of
Overland, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers
in Romaine Ave. #9449 Storm Sewer (10747), in the City of Overland, Missouri, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 9th day of May, 2012.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 2012.
