HomeMy Public PortalAbout13469ORDINANCE NO. 13469 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($2,650,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Brookton Way to Meramec Bottom Road Sanitary Relief Phase II (11792), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Two Million Four Hundred Fifty Eight Thousand One Hundred Forty-Nine Dollars ($2,458,149.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Ninety One Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-One Dollars ($191,851.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Million Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($2,650,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Brookton Way to Meramec Bottom Road Sanitary Relief Phase II (11792), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Brookton Way to Meramec Bottom Road Sanitary Relief Phase II (11792), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 19th day of July 2012. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 27, 2012.
