AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($550,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the Private I/I
Removal in Cella - Rolling Rock - Glen Creek I/I Reduction (SKME 658, 659 & 657) (10382),
in the City of Ladue, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth
& Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Two Hundred Twenty
Seven Thousand Eighty Hundred Fifty Dollars ($227,850.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred Twenty Two Thousand One Hundred
Fifty Nine Dollars ($322,150.00).
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($550,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
Private I/I Removal in Cella - Rolling Rock - Glen Creek I/I Reduction (SKME 658, 659 & 657)
(10382), in the City of Ladue, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the Private I/I Removal in Cella -
Rolling Rock - Glen Creek I/I Reduction (SKME 658, 659 & 657) (10382), in the City of Ladue,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of July, 2012.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 27, 2012.
