AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Dollars
($325,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for wastewater
treatment plant construction in Coldwater Treatment Plant Improvements (Sludge Pump Station
(10518), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Raider Mechanical, Inc. for the aforesaid wastewater treatment plant construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Two Hundred Seventy
Thousand Dollars ($275,000.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other
project expenses is Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Dollars
($325,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for wastewater treatment plant construction in Coldwater Treatment Plant Improvements
(Sludge Pump Station (10518), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Raider Mechanical, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for wastewater treatment plant
construction in Coldwater Treatment Plant Improvements (Sludge Pump Station (10518), in
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 17th
day of July, 2012.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 27, 2012.
