AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eight Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars
($810,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for pump station
improvements in Valley Park/Grand Glaize Diversion & Pump Station (10787), in the City of
Valley Park, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc.
for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Seven Hundred Thirty
Nine Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-One and 75/100 Dollars ($739,681.75) and the allowance
for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seventy Thousand Three Hundred
Eighteen and 25/100 Dollars ($70,318.25), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eight Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($810,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for pump
station improvements in Valley Park/Grand Glaize Diversion & Pump Station (10787), in the
City of Valley Park, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for pump station improvements in Valley
Park/Grand Glaize Diversion & Pump Station (10787), in the City of Valley Park, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 18th day of July, 2012.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 27, 2012.
